Composers Talia Osteen and Dov Rosenblatt met in New York in 2009 when Dov, then lead singer/songwriter of local band Fools For April, met with Talia, then VP at a film production company, about placing his music in their films.  Dov’s songs struck a chord with Talia, who had herself sung in a band for years prior to her career in film.  Mutual fans of each others’ music, they took a stab at writing together and never looked back.  Talia quit her job and the pair spent all their free time writing and recording together in Dov’s home studio under the name The Wellspring.

Now based in LA, the indie folk-pop duo has since toured North America, opening for artists like Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller, and has had songs featured on HOUSE, COUGAR TOWN and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, amongst other series.  Talia & Dov have recorded and produced 5 albums, their music being described as "a byproduct of the troubadour era that breathed life into Carole King and James Taylor, soft-speaking musicians who carry big sticks."

The Wellspring’s catchy hooks and effortless harmonies won them fans from all over the world and paved the way to writing scores for film and television.  Their first project was the indie feature, COFFEE TOWN, which was written and directed by Brad Copeland (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT). They followed that with SLOW LEARNERS, a comedy that IFC picked up out of Tribeca before releasing it theatrically.  Talia, with her background in film producing, finds composing to be a wonderful marriage of her two passions of film and music.  She and Dov enjoy the wide range of musical styles they're able to explore in composing for different characters, themes and genres.

After composing two comedies, Talia and Dov delved into more dramatic music, creating a twelve song concept album that embodied the moods and tones of each month of the year, aptly called “The Calendar Album.” The Wellspring is currently scoring all original music for IMPOSTERS, Bravo’s new hit scripted drama series that premiered in February 2017.
